Monday TV ratings: Strong start to the week for The CW [Jan. 28]
Arrow and Black Lightning saw upticks in the Monday TV ratings. Meanwhile, the first timeslot of the night proved good for most shows.
The CW had a good night in terms of Monday TV ratings. Both Arrow and Black Lightning saw some upticks in the views. The 8 p.m. slot was also good for the majority of networks, especially for NBC.
When it comes to The CW, the network surprisingly saw a decrease in views for both its returning Monday night shows. It looks like people got caught up and ready for the new episodes because Arrow was up by 11% in the demo to 0.4. While it was down in the total audience, this was a tiny 0.49% to 1.21 million. Black Lightning was up by 7% in the total audience to 0.92 million and up by 3% in the demo to 0.3.

- Wednesday TV ratings: One Chicago mixed, Kung Fu down (November 9)
- Tuesday TV ratings: The Resident and Monarch down (November 8)
- Monday TV ratings: All American down, Quantum Leap up (Nov. 7)

The first timeslot of the night was good for the majority of other shows. America’s Got Talent: The Champions saw an increased viewership by 6.99% in the total audience and 12.18% in the demo (to 10.38 million and 1.8 respectively). ABC came in second with The Bachelor with increases to 6.35 million and 1.8 respectively, and CBS came in third place with Big Brother: Celebrity Edition seeing a 10% increase in the demo but a 0.87% decrease in the total audience.
The only show to not see any increase in that first slot was The Resident. FOX continued that downward slip with The Passage, which saw an 8% and 12% decrease in its total audience and demo respectively. This is just the third episode, so there’s hope that the ratings will steady soon to secure the show’s place in the schedule.
All other shows saw a decrease in the demo ratings but they each saw upticks in their total audiences. You can see all the ratings at TV Series Finale.
