Last episode, we found out the secret Max was keeping from Liz. She got to see some of his memories of Rosa and all but one included Liz too. It was the one that stood out the most. Rosa was pushing Max back and had something written on her hand, which Liz learned was only put there on the night of her death.

Immediately, Liz knew that Max had lied about something. It took Kyle showing Liz a picture from Rosa’s autopsy to start putting more pieces together. A handprint over her mouth shows that Max (or one of his siblings) was involved in her death and now Liz is on a mission to find out the truth.
Isobel will do everything to keep her family safe, so it’s not surprising that Liz is now in danger in this week’s episode. Titled “Tearin’ Up My Heart,” Liz will run some tests on Max to find out more about him but Isobel is going to find a way to force her to leave.

"After uncovering some unsettling information about Max (Nathan Parsons), Liz (Jeanine Mason) runs a series of tests to see what his powers may be capable of. Michael (Michael Vlamis) and Isobel (Lily Cowles) take matters into their own hands after learning that Liz may be getting too close to Max. Liz enlists Maria’s (Heather Hemmens) help as she goes on a scavenger hunt across Roswell to uncover more about Rosa’s final days."
