What to expect from a Disney Plus rebooted Wolverine

Wolverine reboot planned for Disney Plus. How can Logan be brought back under the Mickey Mouse ears?

Wolverine fans should be excited to know that the studios have plans for their claw-wielding character to be on the Disney Plus streaming channel, according to We Got This Covered. Should plans go through, it’ll be interesting how Logan will be introduced to the Disney streaming regime. A couple of weeks ago, Disney announced it would bring several shows to its streaming channel, so this could bode well for a high influx of subscribers.

There are a plethora of mutants in the X-Men universe and since the Disney/Fox merger, the boundaries likely have extraordinarily expanded. Same goes with Fantastic Four. Yes, Hugh Jackman won’t be in it, so he apparently stuck to his word of never returning since the final movie, Logan. He obviously went out with a bang.

I can’t help but be hopeful that we’ll see him in his comic-themed yellow or brown suit. There was an alternate ending to the 2013 The Wolverine movie that revealed the classic outfit, so I couldn’t help but think that Disney could get the inspiration to springboard from there. When I watched that footage, I could see it working well as an on-screen costume adaptation.

The source with We Got This Covered said that the Disney Plus universe of mutants won’t be connected to the Fox universe version of X-Men, however, the Russo brothers said the mutant universe was to be re-imagined.

So it kind of sounds like the small screen may or may not fall outside of that. Of course, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was pretty heavy with tie-ins to the MCU, so I wouldn’t put it past them to do the same with the Disney streaming channel. Even Netflix’s series of Marvel shows made references to the Battle of New York.
