The CW has given second seasons to two of its fall freshman shows. Was it Charmed? Legacies? All American? Which show has been left out in the cold?

It’s renewal and cancellation announcement time for many TV shows. The CW has given early(ish) renewal orders to 10 of its current fall shows, including two freshman shows. With CharmedLegacies, and All American with open fates, which one has been left out in the cold?

Unfortunately for the Wednesday night viewers, its the non-supernatural show that has been left off the list. Charmed and Legacies secured second seasons. Both of these aren’t surprising news. Despite ratings dropping recently, they’re remained steady enough for the network, especially when it comes to the delayed viewings.

All American hasn’t been canceled, but being the only fall show without a decision isn’t a good sign. All Arrowverse shows, Riverdale, and even Dynasty were renewed. Only Crazy Ex-Girlfriend was left off the list from the fall, but that was renewed for a fourth and final season in May.

Hopefully, the network is just waiting to see if the series can pick up in the viewers (or maybe just hold steady) for its final episodes. After all, there’s going to be a Friday night spot open in fall 2019, so couldn’t the high school series take up that slot?

When looking at all CW shows, Roswell, New Mexico and The 100 are the only other two left off the list. The 100 Season 6 hasn’t premiered yet so being left off isn’t surprising. Roswell is only on Episode 3, so there hasn’t been enough time to make a decision for the midseason freshman show.

CW boss, Mark Pedowitz, shared that the Sunday night programming has been a success for the network. That’s certainly the truth with Supergirl and Charmed consistently in the top half of programs on the network in terms of views. Friday remains the weakest night, which is a good sign for Sundays remaining in circulation.
