Longtime Saturday Night Live cast member Kenan Thompson is set to star in Bring the Funny, is he leaving SNL?
Kenan Thompson is a Saturday Night Live favorite! The actor is widely known as the longest-running cast member on the NBC sketch series and, before now, showed no signs of stopping with his work in the comedy. Will he pursue other career paths after his role in the upcoming series, Bring the Funny?
Let’s be honest, not many cast members in the history of SNL make us laugh as hard or much as Kenan Thompson. He’s also very proud of his position in the show. But now that he has signed on to star in a competition series, Bring the Funny, along with Chrissy Teigen, we’re worried. Rest assured, though, Kenan isn’t going anywhere! At least, not yet.
Cinemablend broke the news, Thompson, Teigen, and stand-up comedian Jeff Foxworthy have signed on as judges of comedy acts featured on Bring the Funny, a new competition series coming to NBC. Hosting the show will be Amanda Seales. Okay, so it doesn’t seem like Thompson’s responsibilities on the show are so heavy he’ll need to step back from SNL.
