Your patience will be rewarded in tonight’s all-new episode of The Passage on Fox.
This isn’t to say The Passage has been slow and steady up until now, but the series did take its time building up for the main action – which will take place in tonight’s all-new episode, Season 1, Episode 5, “How You Gonna Outrun The End of the World?” What to expect and how can you be sure you tune in? We’ve got all you need to know, below, beginning with the synopsis!
"From Fox, the official synopsis for Season 1, Episode 5, “How You Gonna Outrun The End of the World?” is: “With the sudden arrival of a high-ranking official, Horace Guilder (James Le Cros), to Project Noah, Brad and Amy begin to strategize a possible escape plan with the help of an unlikely accomplice. Meanwhile, Sykes and Richards begin to question each other’s motives, and a shaky past between Lear, Elizabeth (Jennifer Ferrin) and Fanning is revealed.”"
Phase one of Fanning’s plan is set into motion. A rocky past between him with Lear and Elizabeth is revealed, but despite it all, Lear expresses to Fanning that all he wishes to do is help him. Lear tells Fanning that he didn’t lock him up for any other reason than to help cure him. Fanning is too far gone, though, and only threatens the one Lear loves most.

Meanwhile, Brad and Amy’s unlikely accomplice is someone who sort of did expect to help out eventually. The biggest help for their grand escape, though, is Amy, whose abilities are rapidly increasing and are proving to be of use just at the right time. Guilder, new official who has stepped in with twisted motives, has suspicions that Amy can read minds. Amy is clever, though, and attempts to hide all she can really do.
