Friday TV ratings: Blue Bloods up, Last Man Standing steady [Feb. 15]
Blue Bloods saw a good increase on Feb. 16, while Last Man Standing held steady. Here’s a look at the Friday TV ratings across the board.
Most networks were back to normal on Feb. 15, except for The CW. The Friday TV ratings are up and down. Here’s a look at the highs and lows of the night.
CBS had a mixture of successes and failures throughout the night. Unlike most networks, the ratings steadily got better throughout the night. MacGyver was at a season-low since the premiere in the demo, with the total audience down by 6%. The good thing to come from the lower audience was that it was still the winner of the timeslot.

- Thursday TV ratings: Grey’s Anatomy up, Walker Independence down
- Wednesday TV ratings: One Chicago mixed, Kung Fu down (November 9)
- Tuesday TV ratings: The Resident and Monarch down (November 8)
- Monday TV ratings: All American down, Quantum Leap up (Nov. 7)
- Weekend live TV ratings: Fire Country and FBI mixed
Hawaii Five-0 was also down, although not as low as MacGyver. It managed to win in both the demo and total audience. It was Blue Bloods that won the whole night in the audience and faired well in the demo, seeing a good uptick in both metrics (16% up in the audience and 14% up in the demo from the previous episode).
NBC saw some similar results. While Blindspot was dangerously low, The Blacklist held in the demo (but was down by 15% in the total audience). It was Dateline that performed the best in terms of percentage increase, seeing a 20% increase in the demo and a 7% increase in the audience.
While ABC’s comedy block looked good, 20/20 was down by an alarming amount from the previous episode. It saw a 12% drop in the demo and a 21% drop in the total audience. Fortunately, it placed second in its 9 p.m. timeslot behind Hawaii Five-0.
FOX saw some similar results. Last Man Standing returned from a week off with a double bill and it certainly performed well enough. The ratings held steady throughout the night, suggesting that fans knew, this time, that the show was back.
However, FOX debut new series Proven Innocent. It did seem weird that the new series debuted on a Friday night, suggesting that there wasn’t much hope in the series in the first place. After all, Fridays are known as the “Death Night” in TV. FOX had already done this with The Cool Kids, possibly suggesting that the network no longer worries about Friday’s low figures.
Proven Innocent debut to 3.09 million in the audience and 0.5 in the demo, sitting fourth in both of the metrics. Check out the full Friday TV ratings.
