Tuesday TV ratings: NCIS down, Lethal Weapon up [Feb. 19]
Most of the demo remained steady across shows on Feb. 19. However, there were some big changes with shows coming back from weeks off. Here are the Tuesday TV ratings.
NCIS and FBI both saw slips in the Tuesday TV ratings. Meanwhile, Lethal Weapon ticked up for its penultimate episode of the season. Here’s a look at the Tuesday TV ratings.
It’s not surprising to see that Lethal Weapon saw an upward tick. Despite the controversy and complaints, the show is coming to the end of its third season. Feb. 26 is the season (and possibly series) finale, so this is the point that some fans start to tune back in live. However, with the season dropping by almost 30% on average in the demo and 25% on average in the audience, things aren’t looking great for the movie-to-series adaptation.

- Thursday TV ratings: Grey’s Anatomy up, Walker Independence down
- Wednesday TV ratings: One Chicago mixed, Kung Fu down (November 9)
- Tuesday TV ratings: The Resident and Monarch down (November 8)
- Monday TV ratings: All American down, Quantum Leap up (Nov. 7)
- Weekend live TV ratings: Fire Country and FBI mixed
NCIS saw the largest drop of the night, with the demo dropping by 14% to 1.2. The audience also dropped 5% to 12.67 million. I woudln’t say there’s anything to worry about this drop but it is disappointing. This was the McGee-centric episode that delivered some excellent twists and turns. It just shows that fans were more intrigued by Ziva’s storyline during the previous episode.
CBS’ drop continued, with FBI dropping by 10% in the demo and 4% in the total audience. There’s nothing to worry about this freshman series as it’s already been renewed for a second season. ABC’s black-ish saw the second largest drop in the demo and audience of 12% and 7% respectively. This is a series low for the comedy and continues to put doubt on the renewal for the series.
For the most part, the shows remained steady in the demo. Even Splitting Up Together saw no change in the demo, although the audience dropped by 7%. It still doesn’t look good for the sophomore comedy.
This Is Us was the only one of two shows (Lethal Weapon being the other) that saw both demo and audience figures tick up. The Beth-centric story pulled in an extra 5% in the demo to 1.8, the highest demo of the whole night, and up 2% in the audience to 7.56 million.
All three 10 p.m. shows saw the demo remain steady but all three shows drop in the audience. Out of the three, The Rookie is the most in danger of cancellation (New Amsterdam has already been renewed and NCIS: New Orleans is likely safe).
