What to watch on Netflix this weekend: Paddleton, Paris is Us, more
By Sandy C.
What are your Netflix plans for the weekend? There’s plenty to watch! Here are our top 5 recommendations…
Another weekend, another three days of catching up with Netflix’s latest shows and movies. There aren’t too many big debuts going out this weekend, but the few that are look great! And, if nothing looks convincing to you, this weekend can also be your chance to watch other hit shows and movies you’ve missed this month.
Here are five shows and movies to watch on Netflix this weekend.
Paddleton
This Friday, February 22, get the tissues out and prepare to shed some tears. Netflix’s Paddleton is sure to tug at your heartstrings. The movie stars Ray Romano and Mark Duplass as two neighbors who form an unlikely friendship after Duplass’ character is diagnosed with terminal cancer.
Paris is Us
Ready to freshen up on your high school french? No better way to do it than with Netflix’s Paris Is Us, a captivating film steaming Friday, February 22. From the streaming giant, the synopsis is:
More from Netflix
- Bridgerton season 3: All the details to know about Penelope and Colin’s love story
- It’s a slow week on Netflix with only three new releases (Nov. 20)
- Exploding Kittens: From card game to Netflix animated series starring Tom Ellis
- The Crown and more Netflix shows and movies to stream this week (November 13)
- Escaping Twin Flames and more harrowing love-centered documentaries to watch on Netflix
"“Anna is a young Parisian in her twenties. After escaping a close death in a plane crash, Anna reminisces events from her life. In the streets of Paris, she is caught between dream and reality, present and past, in a city ready to explode.”"
Though the synopsis seems simple, even happy, this is no comedy or your average coming of age movie. Just take a look at the trailer (which you can checkout above), Paris is Us is dark and intense, and we can’t wait to watch it!
Workin’ Moms
As all moms already know, going back to work after having a baby is no fun! But when maternity leave is over, there’s not much you can do about it. In Workin’ Moms, four moms head back to work all while navigating kids, bosses, love, and life.
Workin Moms isn’t a new production or Netflix Original, but it is the series’ debut on the streaming service.
The Umbrella Academy
This groundbreaking superhero drama premiered last week. If you have yet to check it out, trust us, you’re missing out! The series has its flaws, for sure, but it’s well worth watching and features a unique story (and even greater season finale) that’ll hook you from the start.

Dating Around
Dating Around is another series that dropped on February 14. It’s Netflix’s latest reality series and has proven to be a hit. Dating Around stars 6 singles (one featured per episode) going on five dates to ultimately select one person for a second date. It’s awkward, fun, and a quick watch at only 25 minutes per episode.
