Brooklyn Nine-Nine boasts one of the best comedy ensembles of any television show right now so picking an MVP every week is as difficult for me as it is throwing away a backup pair of suspenders for Terry! But darn it, I’m going to try!

Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 6, Episode 7 streamlined its storytelling again to focus on just two plots for a mostly satisfying episode. This show is at its best when it allows the stories to breathe a bit and let each character bounce off one another. After a rocky start to the season where they were cramming A, B, C, and D plots all in one episode, the last two weeks have been a delight.

Last week’s episode saw a focus on just Jake and Rosa, and this week we just have two plots. The A-plot this week involves Jake and Holt investigating whether Holt’s new assistant is actually a plant by the devious Commissioner Kelly to spy on Holt, while the other story revolves around the rest of the Nine-Nine cleaning up their desks. Both storylines work well, but in the world of MVP’s…. there can be only one.

Without a doubt this episode’s MVP is Holt! Why? Check out his five best moments below.

1. He hates Marcy Lux from South Orange

Sure, Holt may be putting off hiring a new assistant because he misses Gina, but REALLY Marcy Lux from South Orange? What were you thinking Marcy Lux from South Orange? You don’t put Microsoft Word as one of your skills and please tell us how Cross-Country Skiing is applicable to an office environment? Holt was right to put your resume in the trash heap where it belongs. Better luck next time Marcy Lux from South Orange.

2. He’s the master of the drumroll

Most people when given the request for a drumroll, they just pound away without rhythm, but not Holt! He understands when someone asks for a drumroll and the tempo isn’t specified, any reasonable person would default to Lento!

3. He has cackling sexual energy with Gordon Lunt

More from NBC

Somebody turn down the thermostat because things get HOT in this episode. Did you see how much Lunt was flirting with Holt? He tied his tie with a single Windsor knot, the sluttiest of all knots for Pete’s sake! He might as well have licked his lips and purred. Holt did what he could to cool down this erotically charged atmosphere, but he’s still a man after all!

2. He can tell you the entire history of almost any barrel

Holt and Lunt’s sexual tension nearly reached a breaking point when Holt had to take Lunt to a barrel museum where their banter pushed the limits of what could be shown on Network television. Holt described, in detail, exactly who made each barrel and its entire history. Jake was worried Holt couldn’t stall Lunt for 3 hours while they copied over his hard drive, but clearly Jake didn’t know who he was talking to.

1. He proves he’s the master at acronyms.

No offense to Jake, who tried his best to form his own acronyms this episode like NASTY (New Assistant Selection Team You) and DRAGON (Don’t Reveal Anything, Gordon’t Our Nemesis), but there’s only one person in the Nine-Nine capable of coming up with awesome acronyms and that of course is Captain Raymond Holt! When he anticipates Lunt’s betrayal, Holt sets his own plan in motion, Operation TRIPLE DRAGON! This of course stands for Two Righteous Individuals Performing Law Enforcement Directives Rapidly Against Gordon Our Nemesis. *Mic drop*
