Mark Sheppard shares a first look of his new character, but is it Supernatural?

Mark Sheppard has shared a first look at the new character he is playing and it’s making Supernatural fans ask whether he coming back to the series?

If you’re like me, you’ve missed Crowley. Supernatural hasn’t quite been the same since the character who wants to be loved left The CW series. The show has obviously done okay without Mark Sheppard, it’s not like it’s circling the drain or anything, but it’s just not quite the same. At least not for me anyway.

Update: Following up on this, I did some snooping and this is the show I think Mark Sheppard will be in.

I would love nothing more than to see former King of Hell return, but it’s not happening. As much as I want it too, it’s not. Mark Sheppard made it clear when he left that this would be for good.

So what is up with the rumors about his return I hear you ask? Well, they’re just that, rumors I’m afraid. Mark Sheppard has been teasing us about his up and coming new role and a lot of us have expected it to be his momentous return to Supernatural. He keeps tagging #SPNFamily, but he mentioned before that it wouldn’t be Supernatural.

But I can see why a lot of fans do think that, are still thinking that, and will not be swayed in any way even after reading this post. After all, only yesterday, Feb. 25, Mark Sheppard shared via his official Instagram a picture of his new character and the resemblance to Supernatural are uncanny.

You see what I see right? The background is eerily similar to the Men of Letters bunker and everything about his demeanor screams Crowley, whiskey tumbler included. You would easily be able to convince someone that this was a screenshot of a past episode of Supernatural.

However, as I said earlier unless something has dramatically changed behind the scenes, Mark Sheppard made it clear a very long time ago that he had no plans on coming back. So this character he is teasing is for another TV show.

What it might be is beyond me. I haven’t managed to find anything remotely verifiable so it’s anybody’s guess right now what it could. But, going off the Instagram post, it won’t be long until we find out.

Fingers crossed it’s a Crowley spin-off. Out of all the spin-off ideas, I could see that one working.
