Come, Said the Night is an interesting horror movie with twists. The tone of the movie reminds me of The Conjuring.

There are some spoilers for Come, Said the Night in this review.

I liked Come, Said the Night. However, I have to say; it started off slow but then it started picking up I would say around midway through the movie through the end. One of the leads in the movie, Nicole Moorea Sherman (Sprout Grady) did an outstanding job portraying her role.

More from Movies

Nicole carries the movie, and she makes you love and care about her character. Also, is it just me or does she remind you of, Rowan Blanchard (Spy Kids 4-D: All the Time in the World, Girl Meets World)? Nicole and Rowan look alike.

I didn’t like the character Roy Grady (portrayed by Lew Temple). I can’t give anything away, but I must say: Temple did a great job portraying the role of a “villain”/the father of two children. As you’re watching the movie, you’ll see there is more to him than you think.

The director and writer, Andres Rovira, had a vision and he delivered it. Come, Said the Night is something new for the horror/thriller world with twists. The only thing I didn’t like was how slow the movie started off, but it got better afterward.

We also get to meet Ranger Stella (Danielle Harris) along with her on-screen son, Max Woodhouse (Max Page). Ranger is a single mother, and she’s interested in Roy. And we learn that Sprout likes Max so things become interesting.

Here is the synopsis of Come, Said the Night:

"Thirteen-year-old Sprout Grady grows convinced that a monster is haunting the nearby woods. Embarking on a mission to vanquish it, she uncovers horrifying secrets that rock the core of everything she thought she knew."

As I’ve said, this is an interesting take for a new thriller/horror movie. Will people like it? I think so. It depends on your preferences. The tone of Come, Said the Night reminds me of The Conjuring (2013). As you watch Come, Said the Night, you’ll see what I mean by that.
