I was lucky enough to get screeners for the first five episodes of Now Apocalypse from STARZ. The series is a zany, sexed-up, psychedelic stoner comedy with a surprising amount of depth woven between the outlandish character antics.

Now Apocalypse is about a group of friends trying to live their best lives in LA, whether it be in the pursuit of a career, sex, or even romance, they’re all trying to make the best of their vitality. But when Ulysses (Avan Jogia) begins having strange dreams that are possibly premonitory in nature, he gets sucked into a potentially dark conspiracy, one that could have greater consequences for the world at large.

It’s an eye-popping spectacle full of beautiful people and unlike anything else currently airing on premium cable. You won’t want to miss out.

Joining Jogia in the main cast are Tyler Posey (Teen Wolf), Beau Mirchoff (Good Trouble), Kelli Berglund (Disney Channel’s Lab Rats), and Roxane Mesquida (Gossip Girl). It’s worth noting that even though some of the show’s stars are former Disney/Nickelodeon kids, this is definitely a TV-MA show for a reason. You’re not going to want to watch this with the whole family unless your whole family is extremely cool and open-minded.
