Supernatural Season 14, Episode 15 images: Who is the ‘old friend’?
Half of the Supernatural Season 14, Episode 15 storyline will involve Dean and Jack on a road trip. The images show us who the ‘old friend’ is going to be. What answers will the two get?
Supernatural Season 14, Episode 15 airs tonight and one half of the storyline is all about Dean and Jack on a road trip. They’re going to see an “old friend” to get some answers for Jack. The images show us exactly who that “old friend” is and give us a hint of what to expect.
I don’t quite understand why the synopsis even bothered to keep the details of the “old friend” a secret considering the images have given that part away. We could have had plenty of fun guessing whether it would be Jody, Donna, or some of the others who are still alive.
It’s clear that now Donatello is back. And this certainly makes sense. As a prophet, he has answers that nobody else can offer. He could possibly offer some info on what to do now that Jack has absorbed Michael’s grace.
However, I reckon the images are going to be on a soul level. The sneak peek makes it clear that there are worries about Jack now that he’s burned off the majority of his soul. He may need to live without that soul.

While Dean knows what it’s like to hunt with someone soulless, he can’t offer tips on how to live soullessly. Even Sammy can’t offer too many tips since while a great hunter, he gave into the soulless lifestyle. Who better to turn to for advice on how to live without a soul than Donatello?
We’ll ignore the fact that he turned evil while reading the Demon Tablet. The Winchesters know to not let Jack anywhere near that tablet. Donatello has been able to live without his soul for years. He’s made some questionable decisions but he’s also been able to take a step back before making some extremely bad ones.
It looks like Donatello is going to be able to help Jack with his questions about life without a soul. At the same time, he may get some answers about life now that he has Michael’s grace.

One thing I love about the Winchesters is that they now have people they can turn to for help. They’re willing to reach out to other people for help and advice. They’ve certainly come a long way over the last 13 years.
