Marco returns to the Neverzone and Moon’s memory returns. Here are the best moments from Season 4, Episodes 3 and 4 of Star vs the Forces of Evil.

Four new episodes of Star vs the Forces of Evil premiered this weekend! Quite a bit happened over the course of an hour including Marco getting his abs back, Star spending time with Tom’s family, Eclipsa and Moon bonding, and Eclipsa almost setting Globgar free of his crystallized confines. Here are the top moments from both episodes!

Moon Remembers

#1 – Moon and Eclipsa have an impromptu rock concert! Who didn’t love watching these two share their guitar-playing talents? Surprisingly, Moon is gifted on the instrument. She and Eclipsa actually have fun together testing out different solos.

#2 – Star gives Moon a tour of the castle. It was fun to see all the changes Eclipsa has made, including interesting architectural choices and her continued work on Globgor’s crystal cage. It culminated in a warm, family dinner where it genuinely appeared Eclipsa and Moon could live together and be friends, or even something akin to sisters. It was a sweet, albeit short-lived, moment.

#3 – Deciding she doesn’t trust Eclipsa, Moon and River leave the castle to fulfill River’s fantasy of building a yurt. Star is upset by her mother’s decision but she understands it. Will it be permanent? I doubt it. I’m sure we will see some kind of confrontation between Moon and Eclipsa before the season is done.

Swim Suit

More from Disney Plus

#1 – Marco hunts for his swim suit so he, Star, and Tom can have the magical beach day from the photo Star has been hanging on to. Since he can’t find it, Marco is forced to borrow one.

First, Eclipsa lends him one of Globgor’s, which is big enough to be draped around him like an evening gown, then he takes one of Glossaryck’s, which is too small (and makes Star blush) and cuts off his circulation. Where was his swim suit? The monkey took it and Marco contends he looks better in it anyways.

#2 Star tries to play peacemaker between Eclipsa and Rhombulus as the two come to blows over their differing opinions in regards to freeing Globgor. Rhombulus doesn’t want to unleash a Mewman-eating monster (though Eclipsa claims he became a vegetarian for her) and Eclipsa is distraught over her limited options. Despite being a teenager amidst adults, Star must become the most mature one in the room to keep these two from killing each other.

#3 – Eclipsa takes over Rhombulus’s body with a dark magical spell so she can use his powers to unfreeze Globgor. Star tells her how wrong it is to do so, I was pleased by a show that is magical in nature addressing the uncomfortable issue of consent in the fantasy genre whenever any kind of body-swapping plot comes into play. Eclipsa realizes Star is right and apologizes to Rhombulus.
