Supernatural Season 15 will officially be the last
It’s a sad day for the SPN Family. Supernatural Season 15 is happening but it will officially be the last. Check out the emotional update from Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, and Misha Collins.
Excuse me while I ball my eyes out. As exciting as hearing about Supernatural Season 15 happening was, it has become a bittersweet moment. Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, and Misha Collins have officially announced that the 15th season will be the last.
It’s an emotional updated on Twitter, but it comes from the three stars of the show. They knew that this was news that had to come from them for the fans, and you can tell that all three of them are as sad about this show coming to an end as we are.

This is their decision. They’ve decided that it’s time to hang up the keys to the kingdom and they were the ones that also broke the news to the cast, before sharing the update on Twitter. We always knew that the show would end once the stars were done with it and that time has come.
It’s not all that surprising. The 14th season became the shortest out of choice (the third season was the shortest due to the writer’s strike) and there is speculation that the 15th season would be 20 episodes too. However, with it being the last, we may get a full 23 episodes since the stars know that they’ll be back with their families fulltime after this.

I’m not sure how I can put my feelings into words right now about this. Supernatural has been part of my life from almost the very beginning (Season 2 was when I started watching) and I’ve grown up with the Winchesters. The show is more than just that. As the stars say, it’s a family. While the show will come to an end, the family will still be around.

One thing to take from this is how the writers have a year to wrap up the storylines. It’ll be a chance to say goodbye to the characters in style.
