I’ll admit that I felt the episode was slow and out of place. It’s hard moving from one story arc to another, which is something this episode had to do. With the buildup to dealing with Anna, we suddenly found ourselves getting to know someone else, wondering whether we could trust anything people said.
The end of the episode certainly made up for that. The race is on to get to Tal and here are the five major takeaways from The Enemy Within Episode 6.

5. Keaton is warming up to Shepherd
If anyone had told Keaton that he would have gone to a musical recital with Shepherd during the season, he would have laughed. This was a guy who despised the women he viewed as a traitor and the one at fault for the death of Laine.
Yet, over the course of the last five episodes, he’s started to trust her. Despite Shepherd saying she can’t be trusted, he has listened to what she’s had to say and followed some of her advice. And it’s clear by the end of this episode that he is warming up to her – or maybe warming up to Hannah.
Hannah and Erica are given the chance to talk in Erica’s jail cell. It’s a shock for Hannah, but she quickly moves forward. She wants her mom to hear her play at a school recital.
I love that Erica doesn’t even bother asking Keaton if she can go. She knows that’s unlikely because all she has wanted is to be able to see Hannah. So, Hannah decides to call Keaton and request her mom see her play. Keaton could have said no, but he takes Shepherd.
That joy on Shepherd’s face was so sweet. I want to believe that Shepherd is telling the truth and she only did things to keep her daughter safe. That smile as she heard her daughter play said so much. Even Keaton wants to believe that Shepherd is being genuine judging by his smile.
