SEAL Team: Will Lisa Davis make it through OCS?
Lisa Davis has made it to Officer Candidate School in SEAL Team but she was immediately given a hard time. Is there a chance she’ll make it through?
In the most recent episode of SEAL Team Season 2, we got to see Lisa Davis start her time at Officer Candidate School. Things looked good for her at first, coming into OCS with experience of serving. However, it all turned sour. Is there a chance she’ll make it through or will she fail?
In TV Land, we usually get happy endings with these major career-changing storylines. After a character has been put through the wringer, there’s a turning point that sees them succeed at the very end. However, SEAL Team has never quite been like other TV shows. It throws us for loops every now and then.

It’s not afraid to give us the realities of life, especially life in the services. We’ve watched comrades die and even the lives of the main characters put at risk. Seeing Davis going through OCS gives the show another chance to stick to the realities — a lot of people do fail.

Right now on SEAL Team, Davis is getting punished for everything her fellow cadets are doing wrong. It’s a standard military tactic, aimed at creating a bond between the cadets. Those who are team players will come to Davis’ aid to make sure she and they don’t fail. Those who aren’t team players will soon be booted out or leave on their own accord.
The question is whether the ones who are team players will come to Davis’ aid soon enough. Punishments aren’t just designed to break the body. They’re designed to break the mind, and it looks like that is happening right now to Davis. Soon enough, Davis will snap, but will she snap at the people who deserve it?
I don’t think Davis will fail on SEAL Team. Nor will she get angry at the way she’s been treated. What I think will happen is that she’ll get extremely close to failing and realize everything that she wants. Sonny, Jason, or maybe even Clay will help her figure out exactly what she wants to do and how she can make it through. There’s even a chance Blackburn will give her some much-needed advice.
Davis knows the nature of the game. While she wouldn’t have been able to prepare completely, she has enough experience in the military to know what training can be like. Once she gets her head completely in the game, she’ll focus on leading the cadets and ensuring as many as possible, including herself, make it through OCS.
Plus, when Season 2 filming wrapped, actress Toni Trucks shared that Davis was still smiling. Why would she be smiling if she failed at OCS?
