Grey’s Anatomy recap: 7 takeaways from Season 15, Episode 22
By Mads Lennon
On a new Grey’s Anatomy, Zola spots Andrew walking around the house and Meredith has to figure out the best way to tell her kids about her romantic life.
Teddy and Owen continue to be foreshadowed on this week’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy. It would seem the writers are planning something for the once-couple and I wouldn’t be surprised if Koracick gets his heart broken.

Speaking of hearts, Amelia, too, has come around to the idea of Link potentially being a permanent fixture in her life — as has Meredith with Andrew, when she has to decide how to tell her kids about him. Let’s review the seven biggest takeaways from Season 15, Episode 22.
7. Richard gets a blast from his past.
Gemma, a woman Richard used to know from his Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, winds up at the hospital with a stiletto embedded in her chest. Ranking the craziest Grey’s Anatomy injuries, this has gotta be up there. I mean how does that even happen!?
Well sadly, Richard’s old friend is no longer on the sobriety train. She doesn’t want Richard involved in her surgery because there is some bitterness towards him for losing touch when her husband, Harley, died.
Ultimately, Richard winds up actually doing her surgery because Maggie has to go help Nico. In the recovery room, Gemma and Richard catch up like old friends. The ice is kind of broken when he yells at her and calls her a “stubborn drunk” and the two can’t help but laugh at where they’ve ended up.
I think Richard appreciated being able to talk to someone who could truly relate to his own struggles with sobriety and Richard is able to cheer Gemma up by telling her about his bar scuffle not too long ago.
