No Good Nick Season 1 debuted Monday on Netflix. The pilot was mediocre, but how was the rest of the first season? Here’s my take.

I liked the pilot of No Good Nick, but the characters Jeremy, Molly, and Nick fell flat to me. I just wasn’t feeling it. I think it was because their personalities felt dull. Now that I had the chance to binge-watch the rest of the season, I’m beginning to like the show. I’m glad that is the case; otherwise, it would be hard to give No Good Nick a chance.

Warning to all viewers: There are major spoilers in this post!

What stinks is that with any new show, it takes a while to build an audience. However, this scenario is different as both Melissa Joan Hart and Sean Astin have built-in fanbases. That can definitely help make No Good Nick a success. That is probably why Netflix ordered 20-episodes for the show. Fans of The Fosters may also be tuning in due to Kalama Epstein, who played Noah on the series for two seasons.

All I know is that Melissa is in the show and that’s all I care about. I know her as Sabrina, and so do many of us 90s viewers. Other fans know her from Melissa & Joey or Clarissa Explains It All.

Jerry Trainor (who played Spencer Shay on iCarly), plays Todd in one episode on No Good Nick. He revealed on Twitter that he will be in a bunch of episodes in the second half of the show. Jerry believes that Netflix will release the second season in the fall, making it at least five months before new episodes air.

Netflix also ordered Chilling Adventures of Sabrina for 20-episodes and it took the network six months before we received new episodes. So that’s an idea for how long we’ll be waiting for No Good Nick. Anyhow, let’s check out how the first season was on the next page.
