Sizzy’s “Glorious” new plan

With Becky’s words on his mind, Simon is still by Isabelle’s side in Shadowhunters Season 3, Episode 19 and they are more determined than ever to find a new solution for how to separate Clary and Jonathan. Now that “Dark Clary” has grown stronger, Isabelle is under a greater pressure to successfully repurpose what’s left of the Heavenly Fire nano-particles to save Clary and break the twinning rune. But it’s not as simple as making a more potent serum with which they can inject Jonathan… the Heavenly Fire has some additional supernatural properties that will reveal themselves in “Aku Cinta Kamu,” and Isabelle handles each new step in this uncharted territory like the weapons master boss she truly is.

We know from the sneak peek clip that Luke will go to his sister Cleophas to ask for her help, and though she won’t be able to travel to the Institute herself, she will give Luke her tools from the Iron Sisters to assist with the mission to re-forge Glorious. But there’s one additional problem — they’ll need an angelic binding agent to help fuse the particles together and they’re only option for blood is Simon, who happens to be fearsome of needles. Though Isabelle means business, she knows just what to say to calm him down, and what unfolds between the two of them is one of the most adorable Sizzy moments we’ve ever seen on the series.

We don’t want to reveal the topic of their conversation, but Isabelle shows Simon that she values his love of nerd culture, and the realization they share opens a door for the two of them that will leave fans cheering.

Shadowhunters has revolved its stories around unique “instruments” and supernatural objects, but the story arc here doesn’t feel repetitive because it’s something that Isabelle, with help from the team, is trying to create rather than inherit. But that doesn’t mean her efforts aren’t met without some controversy…
