Victor Arroyo, Nicole Franzel making The Amazing Race look easy

Victor Arroyo and Nicole Franzel have moved from the Big Brother house to The Amazing Race and they are making the show look easy so far.

Victor Arroyo and Nicole Franzel met each other on Big Brother 18. Though they were on opposite sides of alliances, they struck up a friendship that led to much more outside of the BB house. During an episode of Big Brother 20, Victor proposed to Nicole on the show, leading to their current engagement. Now the duo is appearing on The Amazing Race Season 31, with a good showing during the season premiere.

The first new episode of The Amazing Race aired on Wednesday, April 17, with three duos of former Big Brother houseguests participating on the show. They all survived the season premiere, with a former team of Amazing Race contestants being the first eliminated. Victor and Nicole also made it look pretty easy to compete this season.

As shown in the clip above, Nicole made one of the challenges look extremely easy. While she was quickly able to get up the man-made mountain that served as one of the challenges, other teams had much more difficulty. One of the teams couldn’t even finish it, taking a four-hour penalty for a challenge that took Nicole only a few moments to complete. Sure, Victor struggled a little bit figuring out which shoe was made out of chocolate, but that was mostly bad luck.

Can Victor Arroyo and Nicole Franzel win The Amazing Race?

While the season is pre-taped, so the result is already known by the participants, it does seem possible that Victor and Nicole have what it takes to make it to the end of the season. Rachel Reilly, who is participating with her sister this time (Elissa Slater), finished third place on two different seasons. Last year, a duo from the BB19 cast won the $1 million cash prize. So it is certainly possible for another team of Big Brother houseguests to win.

Through one episode, Victor and Nicole are in sixth place on The Amazing Race 31. They are just behind Rachel and Elissa (third place) and just ahead of Janelle Pierzina and Britney Haynes (eighth place). The spring 2019 season continues with a new episode on Wednesday, April 24. Can Victor Arroyo and Nicole Franzel take another step toward winning the show?
