3. Sandoval (last week’s ranking: 3)

We get a cute little scene between Sandoval and Ariana where Ariana is prepping for Billie’s Brunch while Sandoval teases her because he is no longer an employee. He brings up that James still wants his job back to Lisa, but Lisa isn’t having it because James needs to learn a lesson. As always, respect to Sandoval for having his friend’s back but also knowing not to push Lisa too hard.

2. Lala (last week’s ranking: 9)

We finally get a sighting of Lala at TomToms where Lisa gives her the most savagely underhanded dig that she’s finally wearing an appropriate top for work. Lisa also tells her that she let go her behavior towards Billie and James because of the recent loss of her dad, but she also reminds Lala that she can’t take that as a get out of jail free card for much longer.

Lisa also points out that James needs her help to point him in the right direction. She also says that her dad would want her to forgive James, so she begrudgingly admits that she will help the DJ.

As noted above, during the discussion Lala really does seem sincere and genuine in want to make amends. She even comes at it from the right attitude – they both made mistakes but she’s willing to be the bigger person and bury the hatchet. I groaned a bit when she had to justify meeeting with James beforehand to Lisa by saying that “I’m feeling very sensitive towards helping people today” but kudos to her for doing the right thing.

1. Lisa (last week’s ranking: 1)

Another 10/10 episode for Lisa Vanderpump, making smart executive decisions all over the place. She gives Lala some great advice (wrapped in empathy) to try and patch up an important relationship between her and James that will benefit them both.

Despite that, Lisa holds firm on her decision to not give James his job back at SUR, despite acknowledging that it would be the better business decision. However, Lisa points out that this decision is best for her business (because she can’t trust James to act responsibly) and the best thing for James (he needs to change his ways if he wants to thrive).

I know the edit and Ariana tried to paint Lisa as disrespectful to the Toms in this episode, but honestly those jabs seem a bit more like an older sister or aunt ribbing her younger brother. Lisa definitely believes in both Toms, that’s why she asked them to partner with her. But she isn’t being disrespectful, she’s trying to get them to take their new responsibility seriously.
