Pregnant & Deadly: 5 craziest moments from Lifetime’s latest thriller
By Mads Lennon
Lifetime’s latest Saturday night thriller, Pregnant and Deadly, stars Christa B. Allen as a mother being stalked by someone who wants her baby.
When a car accident between two women results in Jessica Moore losing her baby, she will do whatever it takes to get a new one. Thus the plot of Lifetime’s Pregnant and Deadly is born. Jessica is after Amber’s baby after blaming her for causing the wreck that resulted in her miscarriage years ago.
Of course, Amber wasn’t actually at fault, Jessica was the one texting and driving. But you can’t reason with someone like that and every movie needs a villain! Let’s look at the 5 craziest moments from Lifetime’s Pregnant and Deadly.
5. Escort for hire.
As part of Jessica’s scheme to invade Amber’s life and open the door for her to steal her baby she hires an escort. Fake-Dave looks like a bargain bin vampire had a baby with Fabio. Jessica forces him to play the part of her husband. The real Dave has taken out a restraining order against her.
You’d think she would at least have changed fake-Dave’s name since it becomes clear what she’s doing after a little digging into her past. As for how Amber finds out that Dave is an escort? Turns out her mother was looking for a little male companionship and had seen him on the male escort website! Talk about a wild twist.

4. R.I.P. Nicole.
I’ve mentioned it before and I’ll say it again, best friends are not long for this world in Lifetime movies! It’s like the golden rule, all friends of the main character must die. Nicole is at the bar when Jessica is making her arrangement with Dave and she threatens to tell Amber afterward if Jessica doesn’t back off from her crazy scheme.
In hindsight, Amber probably shouldn’t have confronted Jessica about what she heard. Just go straight to Amber girl. IT’s clear she’s crazy! Of course, Jessica can’t have anyone foiling her grand plan so she kills Nicole. RIP.
3. Death by sack of flour.
Okay this scene was one of my favorite Lifetime deaths in some time. Poor Nia Peeples. She crosses paths with Jessica while she’s orchestrating more evil stuff and winds up also getting killed!
First Jessica hits her over the head but Blanch begs for her life (should have played dead), so Jessica finishes her off by using one of the more… rudimentary weapons found in a bakery; a giant sack of flour. Yeah. She literally pulls a sack of flour off the shelf and drops it on Blanch’s head. Who comes up with this stuff? And boy am I glad they do.
2. Jessica’s crazy scheme.
So we know Jessica wants revenge on Amber for “killing her baby”, despite the fact Jessica was actually the one who caused the car crash since she was texting and driving. Well, she’s got several screws missing so there’s no clearly no reasoning with this woman.
After “befriending” Amber and her husband, Jessica’s next course of action is to seduce Amber’s doctor (since she also volunteers at the hospital and apparently has access to all her medical files too) and then basically blackmail him into cutting Amber’s baby out of her stomach and giving it to her.
Then she uses the fake medical files to make it seem like Amber is mentally unstable when she wakes up so no one will believe her when she claims someone stole her baby! It doesn’t get much more insane than that.
1. Amber acting Olympics-level fit after giving birth.
Perhaps one of the most unbelievable things about this whole movie is that Amber wakes up from her sketchy c-section totally skinny and in perfect health. I mean come on! I wasn’t expecting any prosthetics or award-winning performance but they could have had her at least limp a little.
Instead she’s in a full sprint, running around town after Jessica and acting totally normal – like she didn’t just have a baby ripped out of her womb hours before.
