8. Will Charlie’s drug selling be discussed?

In general the boys storylines are pretty weak. Neither gets much characterization apart from one being better behaved than the other. I’d like to see them get stronger plots in season two. Particularly with Charlie who was caught selling drugs in school and merely got a slap on the wrist for it. I understand he’s gone through an ordeal and wasn’t actually using the drugs but what appeared to be leading to a bigger storyline was quickly dropped.

By season’s end he also tried to steal a gun and stole the drugs from his grandmother, meaning he intended to sell again (his claim he took them for her own safety is likely a lie). Why did he steal the gun? What made him feel so unsafe? It’s never properly addressed. It will be interesting to see how or if Charlie sticks with the counseling group.

7. What happened with the Friends of Heaven support group?

Jen and Judy met at the support group. They went on a grief retreat. Pastor Wayne helped Jen through one of her darkest nights. Yet they kind of get shunted to the side as the season progresses. I wonder if they will return in season two?  Is there a separate support group for people who kind of accidentally-on-purpose kill people?
