15 questions that need answering for Supernatural Season 15
Supernatural Season 15 will start filming in July. Writing will already by underway and these are the 15 questions the writers will definitely want to answer.
The Supernatural Season 14 finale certainly gave us an exciting twist. The Big Bad for Supernatural Season 15 is certainly fitting but the finale also left us with plenty of questions. In fact, there are plenty of questions from previous seasons that still need answering for the final season.

As the final season will be Season 15, I thought it would be fitting to include 15 questions. I know for a fact there are more and I’ll miss some of your burning questions. However, there’s something about matching numbers that feels right for me for this piece.
The questions I have will come from a variety of places. Some are from past seasons, some are from the finale (so there are spoilers if you’re not caught up yet), and some are from interviews and conversations actors done or had. While there will be some that involve the main characters but others that involve smaller characters introduced years ago.
With that in mind, here are the top 15 questions I have for Supernatural Season 15.
15. Is it only Hell on Earth?
We got to see the souls from Hell released. With a click of his fingers, God literally brought us Hell on Earth. However, is it only going to be Hell? It seems odd only to release the souls from one place.
While God may not want the good souls from Heaven released, there’s always Purgatory. Not only would we see vengeful and violent spirits, but we’d get to see the monsters the Winchesters have faced beforehand. And there are certainly some brilliant monsters of the past.
Opening Purgatory could allow vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters, djinns, and all sorts returned. We’d get to see Benny return, which could be an excellent vamp to have on the Winchesters’ side.
14. Which souls exactly have been released?
There are just so many souls in hell. We know some of the souls the Winchesters have sent away are back. Bloody Mary and The Woman in White were two prominent ones. Just how many other souls are back? Which ones will the Winchesters have to face again?
And will the Winchesters have to go through putting them all back away? Will we have to watch them getting rid of spirits from Season 1? This could certainly bring back memories they don’t want.
There are a few dangerous spirits that could come back. The doc from the first season that sent people mad, the one that loved his plague masks from Supernatural Season 13, and even the souls of the children from incestuous rape from the fourth season (not spirits but possibly souls in Hell).
This would also be the way to bring Bela Talbot back, since Lauren Cohan would like to return to the show for the final season. We’d get a chance to see if she broke in Hell.
13. What does Billie want with Jack?
Let’s jump to the Empty for this question. Billie turned up to call on Jack’s help. She wants him for something and didn’t mind that he was woken up. She’s come a long way since threatening to send the Winchester brothers to the Empty to permanently kill them.
Billie has read the books. She knows what needs to be done and may even have a way to kill God. The Old Death did say that he’d eventually reap God, so it makes sense that it could happen now. What role does Jack have in this storyline, though?
12. Will others be woken from the Empty?
While we’re in the Empty, is there a chance that we’ll see others joining him. I’m not sure the Cosmic Entity is going to want the whole world destroyed. He likes his peace and that disappeared when Castiel woken up and was released. Will he get much peace if every single angel and demon are there?
Even if the Cosmic Entity doesn’t worry about such things, Billie won’t want all of Heaven and Hell destroyed. Team Free Will 2.0 certainly won’t. So, will we end up seeing others from the Empty woken by them?
There are a few angels and demons in the Empty I could think perfect to bring back. Gabriel, Crowley, Balthazar, and Anna all come to mind right now.

11. Is there a chance John and Mary Winchester will return again?
We apparently left Mary Winchester in a special Heaven with John. I’m still not sure how much I believe Duma, but it looks like Castiel doesn’t doubt what he saw. So, let’s just assume for this post that Mary and John are definitely together.
Will we get a chance to see them both return to Earth to find a way to help? Hey, maybe they could help in Heaven to round up the angels and get everyone on side. They could get the rest of the souls in Heaven, especially other hunters, to step into help out. This is their fight, too.
10. Will the Winchesters turn to Heaven for help?
Speaking of Heaven, there are so many others the Winchesters could turn to. So many others who would want to join in the fight.
I don’t usually like seeing a lot of characters returning but this is the final season of Supernatural. If any season, this would be the one to bring back a lot of the hunters we’ve said goodbye to over the years. There are even non-hunters we could see return.
Some of my thoughts include Ellen and Jo, Ash, Bobby and Rufus, Sarah, and ever our Kaia. It would be good, even in just the very final moments, to see all the spirits to come together and help take down Chuck for good.
9. Can we assume the Heaven problem was dealt with after Jack’s angel making?
Sticking with Heaven for now, there’s something that Supernatural never really properly touched on. Heaven crumbling was a storyline that had so much potential and then it was just sort of avoided. And now it looks like we’ll see it just finished off without much focus.
During Season 14, Jack made some angels out of humans. After all this talk of what they could do to help Heaven, the answer was always in their hands. It was anticlimactic, for sure, but this is about questions. Does this mean that Heaven is no longer in danger of crumbling?
I don’t think it really matters. With Hell on Earth, there has to be Heaven on Earth too, right?
8. Will Naomi be back in charge in Heaven?
Duma is gone. Heaven is, yet again, left without a leader. Well, sort of. There is a leader in Heaven’s jails.
Naomi could now be released. It seems like Duma was the one that pushed for Naomi to be taken to the jails anyway. Is that really surprising when the character was clearly power hungry?
With Naomi in charge, the angels could come back together as an army. They could finally work with the Winchesters to take down God. That is if they’re willing to do that. It’s worth remembering that God is their father. They could feel conflicted – if angels feel, that is.
7. Will Jessie the Antichrist return?
One of the storylines from Supernatural Season 5 that still needs answering is all about Jessie. You remember the little half-demon, half-human baby, right? He is the Antichrist, just not in the way that we know the term.
The last we saw of him, he’d decided to run away. This 10-year-old was going to attempt to survive by himself, keeping the family he had left safe and avoiding the big apocalyptic fight that was brewing at the time.
Will Jessie be back to fight this time? He’ll be about 20 now, so there’s no need for the show to worry about child labor laws if it wanted to bring in the character for longer than one episode. This would also be great to see a half-angel and a half-demon fighting together to prevent the complete end of the world.
6. Will other universes step in to help?
There are so many universes out there. Apocalypse World Michael made a point that God would create drafts and then discard them when he wasn’t happy. He is a writer, after all.
It’s not clear how many universes are around, but there could be enough. It’s clear that these universes all have the same God, so it makes sense to blend them all together to take out God once and for all. This would allow for more armies to get together.
However, I wouldn’t want too much focus on this happening. While it would be cool, with only 20 episodes to the season, it could take up a little too much time from some of the likely monster-of-the-week episodes to take care of the vengeful spirits released from Hell.
5. Will the Wayward Sisters help out?
The answer to this question has to be yes, right? We’ve got to see some of the Wayward Sisters appear in at least one or two episodes. There’s no way fans would be happy not to see them before we say goodbye to the series for good.
I just worry that bringing them in will mean danger. With no spin-off picked up, any of the women are dispensable. We’ve already lost our own Kaia but I’d fear that Claire, Clarke, Alex, and even Donna and Jody are at risk of being killed off.
With the final season, anything is possible. We may not be happy with it but, well, it would be expected to see some major deaths.
We can also add Rowena to this. She’s as much of a Wayward Sister as all the rest. We can assume right now that Rowena’s books haven’t changed. Sam is going to be the one to kill her but why would that be? Will it be an act of mercy or will he be possessed somehow that causes him to do something he doesn’t mean?
4. Will any of the other Apocalypse World hunters help?
There are also plenty of Apocalypse World hunters still kicking around. While many of them were killed by Michael, we got to see others still around for Mary’s funeral. Jules, Charlie, Bobby, and so many more are there to pitch in when necessary.
Will they be able to help take down God? Surely when they find out what Chuck has done and the role he played in their own lives, they will want to take down the monster.
Out of all, I think we can expect Bobby to return. The last we saw, he was out for revenge against Jack. However, I do hope that we see Charlie return, too.
3. Is there even a way to get rid of Chuck?
Chuck is the Big Bad. This is fitting for Supernatural Season 15. It’s the final season and we need it to be the biggest bad we’ve ever seen. However, by making God the Big Bad, it leaves us with a major question.
Is it even possible to kill Chuck?
Well, yes, it should be. As I said earlier, Old Death said that he would reap God one day. That means there is a way but what is that way? Will Billie be able to offer any insight?
I’m assuming that the Colt – if it was even around still – wouldn’t be an option. If it couldn’t kill Lucifer, it wouldn’t likely kill God. Is it possible we’ll have Amara show up and she be the one to kill her own brother but this time to save the world?
2. Is there any chance Adam will be rescued from the Cage?
Poor, Adam. He’s been in the Cage for the last nine season. Nobody has really even thought about him either.
It’s time for that to change. Surely after all this, we should see Adam Milligan released from the Cage.
That is if he’s even there. Is it possible that Adam’s soul was never actually in his body? Could it be possible that Heaven offered Adam a deal – he could go back to Heaven if Michael could have use of the vessel?
Either way, I’d like some closure on that storyline.
1. Is it possible for Sam and Dean to get the happy ending they deserve?
Finally, there’s a major question about the Winchester brothers. Will they ever get the happy ending that we know they all deserve. And I don’t mean dying and both ending up in Heaven.
The big happy ending that I would love to see is them both alive. Monsters, demons, and angels are all gone. Maybe they’ve found a way like the British Men of Letters to get rid of the evil creatures around – yes, even angels can be evil – but keep the monsters that have actually proven themselves to be good. The Gates to Heaven and Hell could be completely closed and the Winchesters just get to live a normal and happy life.
But could they be happy without seeing their loved ones? I think knowing that their loved ones are save in the closed-off Heaven, yes. The gates can be opened to let others through when they die to avoid more spirits, but I think the Winchesters could be happy knowing that people are safe in Heaven.
Plus, we could have a big reunion with everyone by them helping to take care of Chuck. There’s nothing stopping the spirits to appear to take out Chuck before returning to their Heavenly homes.
