Which movie did you catch in theaters this weekend? The Avengers and Pikachu battled it out, but only one prevailed! Check out the results, from Box Office Mojo, below…

Detective Pikachu was predicted to do very well at the box office. Not only because of its great reviews or Rotten Tomato score, but the massive fan base Pokemon has. Well, Pikachu did not disappoint, but it still wasn’t enough to take down Iron Man and his crew.

Pokemon: Detective Pikachu opened with $58 million domestically and an impressive $112.4 million overseas — for a grand total of $170.4 million. The film was put together with a reported budget of $150 million, so it’s already winning big and will continue to do so.

Avengers: Endgame, however, climbed further up with just over $63 million. The end to an era is quickly approaching the $2.5 billion range. Will it become the No. 1 highest grossing film of all-time by the end of the week?

New debuts include The Hustle, Poms, and Tolkien. The movies can be found on the top ten at No. 3, No. 6, and No. 9, respectively.

At No. 10 we also find Captain Marvel with $1.8 million. The movie has enjoyed a long ride on the Top 10, and this will likely be its last weekend on the list. With $1.1 billion on its belt, though, there’s no shame in that!
