HBO has released a trailer for Game of Thrones Season 8, Episode 6. Here is our preview for the final episode of the HBO hit series!

It’s an end of an era for HBO. One of its best shows, and arguably one of the most popular shows ever made in the history of TV, is officially coming to a close. Sunday’s episode of Game of Thrones will serve as the series finale. It’s been a wild ride thus far but there’s still a lot of loose ends to tie up before we say goodbye to Westeros.

Daenerys went into full rage mood after losing one of her dragons and her best friend in last week’s tumultuous episode. Her grief and distrust for those around her caused her to stay in isolation. Knowing that she has been betrayed with the reveal of Jon’s true parentage, Dany set out for revenge. Varys took the brunt of betrayal and is sentenced to death by fire thanks in part to Dany’s last surviving dragon.

Jon broke things off with his Queen which complicated matters even more. During the planned attack on King’s Landing, Dany went rogue. She ignored Cersei’s surrender and set fire to all of King’s Landing. During the carnage, the Golden Company was killed. Euron, Jaime, Cersei, the Hound, and the Mountain also met their ends. So what’s next?

If there are any survivors in King’s Landing, it will be difficult to gain their support after destroying their entire city. Jon’s rightful path to the Throne will still be a challenge for Dany as the news has undoubtedly spread throughout Westeros. Even though Dany did what she threatened, she made a ton of more enemies. The move has been controversial with some viewers and it will be interesting to see if Dany feels any regret with her decisions or if she will fully embrace being the Mad Queen.

At this point, Sansa seems like the most fitting figure to lead. If Dany is killed and if Jon truly refuses to rule, fans could see a Stark take the Throne. She has emerged as an admirable leader as the Lady of Winterfell and it would be a terrific way to close out her story arc. Thankfully, we don’t have long to find out how this will play out.

King’s Landing is demolished as Tyrion walks through the rubble. He had his doubts about Dany but he didn’t think it would come to this. Arya didn’t go very far on her horse as she’s seen looking at Dany’s army. Dany then makes her way towards what’s left of King’s Landing, assumingly to finally sit on the Iron Throne. If it’s still there, that is.

The brief trailer only features scenes in King’s Landing but Winterfell will certainly play a part in the series finale. Sansa and the North will definitely not be pleased with their Queen’s actions and an uprising is surely inevitable. Even though Jon’s death was teased, he’s expected to play a major role in the finale. Lines have been crossed and it all comes down to this.
