The third installment in the John Wick series, Parabellum, is a work of art and nonstop action. In theaters Friday, May 17.

The hype is not only real, it’s better! The biggest message Parabellum delivers is that John Wick is only getting started. The third chapter packs a punch, both literally and figuratively, and features beautiful choreography.

It’s not every year you see a franchise not only withstand the test of time, but age beautifully as time goes. If just for a second you believe the John Wick series will run out of clever ways to take down his victims, think again! Parabellum is the best action ride you’ll take all year.

Picking up just minutes from where John Wick 2 leaves viewers, Parabellum sees Wick and his new canine friend making a run for it. Wick is injured and the clock is ticking against him. With his privileges ending soon and every assassin in the world on his tail after being excommunicated, it’s not looking too good.

Even old friends of Wick want a piece of him. Can we really blame them, though? There’s a $14 million bounty attached to him. Jokes aside, Wick makes all of his opponents work hard to get to him. He is not an easy catch.

This is John Wick we’re talking about. The professional assassin always manages to get out a tough situation, and he always does so in style. But has his luck run out in the latest chapter? Our lips are sealed!

Despite being the most violent chapter in the franchise (by far) and featuring some of the most wild and creative scenes, we can’t seem to get enough. I’ll be honest, I went into the advanced screening for John Wick 3 believing this will be the movie that’ll leave audiences feeling it was a satisfying ending to the franchise. But I was wrong, I want more.

While another sequel would be amazing, I can’t help but wonder what John Wick was like before all of this? We have heard all of the crazy stories told about him – the Boogeyman, how he killed men with a pencil. A pencil! What I want to see more than anything is a prequel!

Halle Berry joins the franchise as Sofia, and what a breath of fresh air she is! Sofia can kick some ass. If another movie follows, I hope she’s part of it. The movie also stars Laurence Fishburne, Mark Dacascos, Asia Kate Dillon, Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, Jerome Flynn, and others.

Will there be more John Wick movies?. dark. Next

John Wick 3 is wildly entertaining and the best installment so far. Don’t miss it in theaters this weekend, May 17.
