Only one character died in the series finale: Daenerys Targaryen. It may have only been one episode, but Daenerys, portrayed by Emilia Clarke, was a key character in the show. At a time, Daenerys was someone we all cheered for. Whether that changed for some of you or now as the series continued, there’s no denying Daenerys was always the most intriguing character.

How did she die? That would be Jon Snow’s doing. He didn’t give up on her, he continued to believe in Dany and make excuses for her. After speaking with Tyrion, Jon decided to give Daenerys one more chance.
Jon goes to speak with her and realizes Daenerys is convinced she is doing good, and that anyone who thinks otherwise is wrong and doesn’t have any other choice. Jon kisses Daenerys and stabs her.
Drogon surprisingly doesn’t burn Jon, the dragon burns and destroys the Iron Throne, instead. Drogon takes the body of his mother and flies off. It doesn’t matter how you feel about the Mother of Dragons, that was a heartbreaking moment.
Game of Thrones is available to watch in its entirety on HBO and HBO Now. What did you think about the series finale? Were you disappointed or happy with it?
