The Good Girls Season 2 penultimate episode certainly didn’t disappoint. While some secrets were revealed in full, we only scratched the surface on others. A character surprisingly returned and we got to find out who was buried in Beth’s flower garden.

It’s time to delve into the episode. Here are the big takeaways to get us ready for Sunday’s finale.

It was never Boomer’s body in the freezer

More from NBC

Remember at the end of the last episode when Beth asked if Boomer had dark hair? Hands up if you thought that the women had just picked up the wrong body.

Yeah, that was the obvious choice. But it soon turns out that there was another obvious reason for the wrong body. The women got the right body but had originally buried the wrong one. You see, Mary Pat had found a way to get rid of another body she was hiding.

You remember the time one of her sons said that she’d put “Daddy” in the freezer? He was literally talking about his own dad. Mary Pat’s husband had died on the front lawn but she wanted to keep cashing his VA check, so she decided to hide the body.

Yes, really! It was Jeff’s body (the title of the episode, by the way) that she’d chopped up and put in the freezer.

So, what about Boomer’s body? We’re getting to that.
