#1 “The Gift of the Mike Guy”

“The Gift of the Mike Guy” was the Christmas episode of Last Man Standing Season 7. It brought our favorite characters together with laughter, heartwarming moments, and joy. Isn’t that what Christmas is all about?

The two storylines in “The Gift of the Mike Guy” were the Baxter daughters not planning to decorate the Christmas tree and Ed struggling with his retirement from Outdoor Man.

Kristen, Ryan, Mandy, and Kyle planned to attend the ballet. But after seeing their stockings, Ryan and Kyle were moved; they were a part of the Baxter family. Kristen and Mandy couldn’t bear to see the Christmas tree decorated by anyone other than themselves. So, they all skipped the ballet to stay home, decorate, imbibe, and enjoy the merriment of their Christmas tradition.

Ed continued struggling with his retirement. Additionally, Mike gave him a well-meaning gift.

Yep, Ed disliked the gift. The well-meaning gift led to Mike’s Christmas vlog, which continued to be educational, funny, and meaningful in Season 7. Mike discovered Ed’s unhappiness. Dead people have streets named after them. Ed believed he was no longer needed at Outdoor Man.

Mike delivered a solution right before Christmas. He needed to hire more employees for Outdoor Man, and he wanted to hire veterans. Who else knew which veterans would work well at Outdoor Man than the veteran who founded Outdoor Man, Ed. Grateful for the opportunity, Ed accepted his new role at Outdoor Man.

Back at the Baxter house, everyone enjoyed the festive ambiance when the best Christmas gift of all came.

Yes, Eve returned home! To cap off “The Gift of the Mike Guy” and wish us all a Merry Christmas, the Baxter girls sang a Last Man Standing original Christmas carol.

Like Christmas presents, Last Man Standing wrapped everything up with a bow in “The Gift of the Mike Guy.” Frankly, I re-watched the episode before Christmas, and I loved the Baxter girls singing. “The Gift of the Mike Guy” was a classic Last Man Standing episode.

More from FOX

Not only did “The Gift of the Mike Guy” bring glad tidings to our hearts because of the activities which took place in the Baxter house, it brought good news to Ed. In hindsight, maybe he did appreciate the street to Outdoor Man named after him.

“The Gift of the Mike Guy” was a typical Last Man Standing episode, yet it exceeded an average episode. It made us laugh, think, and left us craving for more new episodes. These all make “The Gift of the Mike Guy” the best Last Man Standing Season 7 episode.
