A Big Brother All-Stars season could easily replace the next season of Celebrity Big Brother if it’s what production wanted to do. It might also boost ratings for a bit during winter CBS viewings.

Big Brother All-Stars is something that has been rumored for a while now. Some fans want to see the best houseguests of the last 13 summer seasons battling it out inside the BB house. It’s not an easy thing to put together, especially since production reportedly didn’t enjoy doing it the first time. With the troubles dealing with celebrity pay, maybe it’s something to explore for winter 2020.

What would Big Brother All-Stars entail?

Production could bring back some of the fan favorites who have been on the show since Big Brother 7 came to a close. That was the last time that the All-Stars format was used. Having some of the people who have played the game before doing it in a shortened winter format could also give viewers a nice January and February show.

Having live feed subscribers vote on the contestants would also be a good way to make sure that the house only includes former houseguests that people want to see again. It would eliminate any stunt casting and ensure that only the right people are invited back for another chance at winning the cash prize. Doing it in the winter might also be a way to inflate the television ratings.

Why replace CBB cast with All-Stars?

Last winter, there were a lot of negative rumors about the celebrity cast. That included several stories about them quitting over not being paid enough. It can get expensive to put celebrities in the game, especially when it comes to the more recognizable ones. The bigger the celebrity is, the more expensive a stipend becomes to keep them in the game for more than a month.

There are still Big Brother rumors about the summer 2019 season including All-Stars from the past, but nothing has been confirmed by production or CBS. It has also been suggested that the producers are waiting for the BB22 cast to do something huge. Maybe, instead of considering those options, it could be fun to see former houseguests battle it out next winter.
