The long-awaited sequel to the 2014 Godzilla movie is finally playing in theaters. We have all the details you need to see the film this weekend!

In 2014, we were gifted with an epic blockbuster Godzilla movie that left audiences hungering for more. It has been a long five-year wait, but we’re finally getting a sequel to the film, and it promises to be more epic than we could have ever imagined.

This film will serve as the 35th film in the Godzilla franchise overall, and the third film in Legendary’s MonsterVerse. Before this movie there was the first Godzilla and the follow-up film, Kong: Skull Island. Next year we can anticipate the other highly-anticipated film, Godzilla vs. King Kong.

What has fans truly excited about King of Monsters is the integration of other legendary kaiju from the franchise. This film will introduce mythical beasts Rhodan, Mothra, and of course, the three-headed King Ghidorah.

These mythical beasts of lore will face off against each other as they battle for ultimate supremacy.

Starring alongside these ancient creatures is a stellar cast. Perhaps the most exciting addition to the sequel is none other than Stranger Things break-out, Millie Bobby Brown. She’ll be playing the daughter of Kyle Chandler and Vera Farmiga’s characters.

I highly advise you see this movie during the opening weekend. You won’t want to be spoiled. And if you can afford it, I think Godzilla: King of Monsters is a film that warrants the IMAX treatment. Based on what I’ve heard, it will be a real spectacle for the eyes.
