2. It’s going to be full of drama

Maybe you’re not into the history of the band but want to know all the juicy details. It’s just human nature and something that Chasing Happiness promises to deliver on. The trailer did show a few clips from it including interviews and different snippets from what Nick, Joe and Kevin had to say.

One major moment is Kevin explaining that Nick was the reason the band broke up. In addition, the trailer shows varying reactions. For Nick, he hopes that his brothers still want to talk to him while Joe discusses how hard it was to hear from Nick. A band breaking up is hard but being brothers adds an entirely new layer onto it. No doubt there is going to be a lot of drama when the documentary discusses that.

Their breakup isn’t the only cause for drama, though. As previously mentioned, the band was dealing with tension from Disney. While Disney wanted a clean-cut and wholesome look, they were in their 20’s by then and pushed back as they should have. No doubt the process of getting the band back together is going to be full of drama, too.

Music documentaries usually have some sort of scandal or controversy involved. Chasing Happiness is no different. Rather than getting it from an outside source, the conflict was between the brothers. Working with other people is challenging but working with family is where it really gets messy. It’ll be interesting to see how the drama unfolds for the Jonas Brothers and how they were able to pick up the pieces.
