10. Asher and Layla

Asher was way too much of a jerk still when they were together. He cheated on her with her best friend! It didn’t help that Layla had eyes for Spencer since the moment he arrived either. These two weren’t a good match for one another.

I’ve enjoyed watching them become friends in a post-breakup world far more than I ever did when they were still dating. Layla is someone who knows who Asher is and what he goes through with his father more than anyone. I hope she remains a part of his life, but I think they’re better apart.

9. Jordan and Ripley

As far as romance goes, Jordan had the least amount of love interests out of the main cast. I believe the only potential romantic entanglement he had was a brief fling with Malibu student, Ripley.

I don’t have any particularly strong feelings about the duo because they didn’t share much screen time. Jordan did smoke marijuana with Ripley that almost resulted in him getting kicked off the football team, though, so she loses some points for that. Admittedly, it wasn’t her fault so much as it was Jordan making bad choices.

8. Billy and Laura

When All American began, I took an immediate liking to the Baker family. That includes Olivia and Jordan’s parents, Laura and Billy. I appreciated when Laura’s role became essential to the plot. I especially loved the scenes she shared with Grace. Then we found out Billy cheated on her.

The news devastated the entire Baker family. Part of me wants them to work it out. But Billy needs to do some serious soul-searching before that can happen. He’s made all kinds of rash decisions this season. His kids and his wife deserve better judgment.
