Jordan Peele’s Us: Ranking all 9 bonus features in the Blu-Ray disc
By Sandy C.
Jordan Peele’s Us comes to 4K Ultra HD, Blu-Ray, DVD, and On Demand June 18 and we’re ranking all the bonus features and extra content included!
The movie became available on Digital June 4, but now fans can own a physical copy along with several new features come Tuesday, June 18! If you haven’t already pre-ordered your copy, will you be purchasing Jordan Peele’s Us?
For some, re-watching the masterpiece that is Jordan Peele’s latest horror creation is enough to want to own a copy for yourself. But there are others who prefer waiting to learn about the exclusive content that’ll arrive with the disc before buying it. If this is you, or even if it isn’t, we have all the details you need to know, below!
Us stars Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke, Elisabeth Moss, and Tim Heidecker in a story you’ll enjoy watching again and again as you may discover or pay closer attention to a new detail each time. From Doppelgangers, deeper significance, rabbits, lab testing, and the worst version of yourself, Us is a revolutionary addition to the horror genre.
"Synopsis: “Set along the North California coastline, Adelaide Wilson (Nyong’o) reluctantly returns to her beachside childhood home with her family and finds that she is haunted by unresolved trauma from her past along with a string of eerie coincidences. As darkness falls after a tense day at the beach, the Wilsons discover four figures standing in their driveway. Theys oon realize this is only the beginning of their troubles as they find that the four figures are terrifying and uncanny opponents: doppelgangers of themselves.”"
I received the press copy of Jordan Peele’s Us in Blu-Ray + DVD + Digital and couldn’t wait to get started watching! Here’s all you need to know about the bonus content and how they rank:
9. The Monsters Within Us: This bonus feature shows us how the main cast steps into their characters — both as part of the Wilson family and a Doppelganger.
MORE: Will Jordan Peele’s Us movie get a sequel?
8. As Above, So Below: Grand Pas de Deux: This is an extended scene featuring the dance sequence from the film, cutting between adolescent Adelaide at her recital to Red in the Underpass.

7. The Duality of Us: Jordan Peele shares in detail how he created key themes, including the idea of using Doppelgängers, Hands Across America, and the 11:11 coincidence.
6. Scene Explorations: This one is pretty cool if you want an inside look at the making of three very important locations Us explores — Tyler’s house where the first massacre we witness takes place, the scene that sees Jason being abducted, and Adelaide’s underground flashback.
5. Redefining a Genre: Jordan Peele’s Brand of Horror: Can we all agree Jordan Peele has reinvented the horror genre? Okay, good, then you’ll love this feature!

4. We’re All Dying: This is a clever title for “blooper reel,” which, if you follow my Blu-Ray reviews, you know are always my favorite. There’s nothing more fun than seeing the cast in costumes messing up their lines and just being themselves having a blast with the rest of the crew.
This bonus, however, only features Winston Duke and Tim Heidecker’s scene on the beach, so we’re ranking it higher on the list.
3. Delete Scenes: There are six deleted scenes that made it to the disc, listed below:
- I Am Not Even Near You
- Rabbit Season
- That’s Badass
- Driftwood
- The P is Silent
- I Wanna Go Home
2. Becoming Red: This one is all about Lupita Nyong’o and how the star steps in and out of character — both when playing Red and Adelaide. Nyong’o’s performance completely steals the movie, but you’ll appreciate her even more after watching this extra.
1. Tethered Together: Making Us Twice: Imagine making a movie two times, as if once was not a tough task as it is. But in a movie where four characters play dual roles, it’s something that must be done.
This demanded a lot from the cast as well as the crew, but they were all for it! It’s a lot of fun watching everyone involved discuss how they went about this, from technical challenges to getting into character.
