Nicole Franzel & Victor Arroyo, the last remaining Big Brother team, overcame a U-Turn to live another day in The Amazing Race 31. They are now one of the four teams who will compete for the $1,000,000 prize in next week’s season finale.

On this Amazing Race leg, Nicole & Victor were the 2nd team to leave the pit stop in Split, Croatia. Their clue instructed them to fly to Amsterdam, The Netherlands and then travel by train to Kampen, The Netherlands. All teams were on the same flight to Amsterdam and the same train to Kampen.

Once in Kampen, teams had to search for a marked tandem bike outside the railway station. This served as their transportation for this leg. They were also instructed to find Jachthaven where they would get their next clue. During their quest to find Jachthaven, we found out this leg was run on Nicole’s birthday. Nicole & Victor arrived at Jachthaven in 1st place.

At Jachtaven, the clue was a detour. For this detour, teams had to choose between high and dry. In high, teams biked to a farm and secured what is known as a Kamper cow onto a trailer behind a tractor. Then, they had to follow the tractor on their bikes to Niuwe Toren.

At Niuwe Toren, teams had 40 seconds to lift the cow to the top of the bell tower. If they got the cow up in the time limit, one person would have to go up the bell tower to get their next clue. If not, they had to try again until they got it up in the allotted time.

In dry, teams biked to a farm. At the farm, teams had to pole vault across an irrigation ditch “the Dutch way.” Once they successfully pole vaulted, teams had to bring 2 cheese orbs and 12 eggs to back across the ditch.

After getting the items across the ditch, teams had to transport them on their bikes to Kampen Market. If any of the eggs were cracked, they’d have to try again. If not, they got their next clue.

Nicole & Victor were the only team to choose dry. They left the detour in 4th place after Nicole struggled to pole vault.

Their next clue instructed them to go to Ijssel where the double u-turn was waiting. Leo Temory & Jamal Zadran, The Afghanimals, wanted to u-turn Nicole & Victor. Nicole & Victor previously voted for The Afghanimals to be u-turned, so The Afghanimals wanted payback.

The Afghanimals got to the u-turn mat 3rd and u-turned Nicole & Victor. This forced Nicole & Victor to perform the other side of the detour. Thinking Becca & Floyd (Team Fun) were still behind them, Nicole & Victor u-turned Team Fun.

Nicole & Victor struggled with the “high” side of the detour. Victor was exhausted as he had Nicole not help on the biking earlier. They failed the task on their first attempt. On the second attempt, they got it with 1 second to spare.

Their next clue instructed them to go to Smit Geithoorn. Nicole & Victor arrived at Smit Geithoorn in 4th place.

At Smit Geithoorn, teams had to get on a boat and navigate the canals. While navigating the canals, they had to find two marked boats and form a boat train. After they formed the boat train, they had to find Bovenwijde Lake Island, the pit stop for the leg.

Amazing Race team Colin Guinn & Christie Woods won the leg. In doing so, they ended fellow Amazing Race team Tyler Oakley & Korey Kuhl’s 4 leg winning streak. After briefly catching up to The Afghanimals, it came down to Nicole & Victor and Team Fun. In the end, Nicole & Victor finished 4th. Team Fun finished in last place and were eliminated.
