4. Alec Lightwood — Shadowhunters

Played by: Matthew Daddario

Why they’re so great: Okay, I’ll be the first to admit that having Magnus further down this list than Alex doesn’t sit right with me, but at least both halves of Malec are on the list. Alec certainly deserves to be on the list considering his storyline leading up to coming out.

It was a huge decision to admit his sexuality. Gay Shadowhunters tend to be cast out by the Clave, so he put everything at risk by doing so. However, he couldn’t not be who he really is, and he became an inspiration for many other Shadowhunters who were closeted LGBTQ.

3. Eleanor Shellstrop — The Good Place

Played by: Kristen Bell

Why they’re so great: It took some time to get the confirmation, but Eleanor is bisexual. In fact, The Mary Sue reports that Bell has said her character is “super bisexual.” This just isn’t something pushed on The Good Place.

Being bisexual isn’t a point up for discussion. It’s just who she is and it’s fit naturally into the storyline. The hints haven’t been to foreshadow something but to just make a point that her sexuality isn’t up for discussion. Accept or not, Eleanor isn’t going to change that part of her.
