2. Lydia (The Walking Dead)

Ever since Lydia (Cassidy McClincy) appeared on The Walking Dead, she’s been nothing but bad news for our favorite heroes. She attempted to kill Daryl (Norman Reedus) during an ambush by the Whisperers, followed by an attempt to extract information from Henry (Matt Lintz) while being interrogated. It’s all done to appease her mother, the Whisperers’ current leader, but Lydia does so knowing that the end result will see multiple people die at Alpha’s hands.

If that wasn’t reason enough to be cautious of Lydia, she also has an opportunity to stop Alpha’s plans before she can execute anyone. Alpha (Samantha Morton) approaches her daughter while The Fair is happening with the intent of taking her home. When Lydia refuses to go, Alpha insinuates that something terrible is about to befall The Kingdom.

Once Lydia realizes what’s about to take place, she threatens to scream and alert everyone of the Whisperers’ presence. At this point, Lydia is in the position to end Alpha’s entire crusade but hesitates at the last moment, allowing her mother to go free. And it’s that hesitation which eventually leads to Alpha executing Henry, Tara, and a number of their friends.

What’s strange is Lydia falls into a depression following Henry’s death. She grew close to him during her time at The Hilltop but it was her inability to expose Alpha which resulted in his untimely demise. Lydia ultimately feels responsible for her friend’s death, though it’s an odd turn since she had an opportunity to prevent it from happening.

Now, Lydia is contemplating suicide, putting other survivors’ lives in danger as well. Carol rescued her from making a huge mistake in the Season 9 finale but Lydia’s unpredictable behavior has us worried that she could place more people in danger down the line. Let’s just hope Carol doesn’t fall prey to this young girl too.
