FOX fall 2019 premiere dates: 9-1-1, The Resident, Empire and more return dates
9-1-1, The Resident, Empire, and more have set return dates. Prodigal Son and more have debut dates. Here are the FOX fall 2019 premieres dates.
FOX has become the latest primetime network to share it’s fall 2019 premiere dates. 9-1-1, The Resident, and Empire are among the shows returning, with Prodigal Son and Bless the Harts among the new shows debuting.
The return dates aren’t all that surprising. Like previous seasons, FOX is kicking things off during the last week of September. Unlike last season, there won’t be a two-night premiere of 9-1-1. The first responder drama is going to kick off the fall schedule but it will premiere in its regular timeslot at the new 8/7c slot on Mondays, with new series, Prodigal Son, debuting in the hour afterward.

The Resident will debut in its new Tuesday night slot (a bad night, going up against NCIS and The Connors) the day after, with Empire following.
There are only two shows being held off until October for a start and one of those is the WWE lineup that is taking over Friday nights — with Last Man Standing moving to Thursdays after the Thursday Night Football run instead of returning on Fridays.
The other show holding off until the first week of October is new series Almost Family. This allows the surprise success unscripted show The Masked Singer to get a two-hour premiere for its second season.
