Lifetime debuted two brand new episodes of American Princess this past weekend! We’re talking about all our favorite scenes from each one.

Lifetime treated American Princess fans with the special gift of two new episodes this past weekend! The first hour followed Amanda back home to her family in the wake of her mother’s supposed overdose.

Don’t worry, Mama Klein is just fine. She faked the entire ordeal as a way to get Amanda to come back. Believing Amanda to be brainwashed, her family staged an intervention. It doesn’t work because Amanda is genuinely happy at the Renaissance Faire.

The second new episode follows Amanda’s return to the fair, only to find the refrigerator isn’t working, people need health insurance, and in general, the fair needs a way to increase its revenue stream.

Amanda gets her chance to flex her college degree and come up with some new ideas to draw a crowd, but Maggie refuses to play along.

5. Delilah throws Breeze a period party.

Lulu and Shart’s daughter, Breeze, turned thirteen recently and with her dive into adolescence, she started her period. Having grown up in a Christian household where menstruation may as well have been synonymous with devil worship, Delilah tries to live out the celebration of womanhood she was denied by throwing Breeze and elaborate menses party.

It includes everyone wearing red, a coloring book full of vaginas, a game of pin the pad on the panties, and the reciting of period poetry. Breeze hates it. She doesn’t want a celebration of womanhood. She wants to go to public school to make friends her age. You can’t blame the kid for wanting to experience life outside of the Renaissance.

Plus, Delilah’s back-up idea, for her, Lulu, and Breeze to examine their vaginas with hand mirrors – is even worse than the party, albeit hilarious. Eventually, Lulu decides to throw the period party for Delilah, who really needed it, she’s far more appreciative.

Delilah was trying to live out her missed opportunities through Breeze. Now she gets a chance to celebrate them herself. She also promises her son they’ll throw him a party when he has his first wet dream, as a male equivalent, I guess?
