Grand Hotel Season 1, Episode 3 preview: What secret was Beatriz hiding?

In a new episode of Grand Hotel, Alicia begins asking questions about her mother, but she might be surprised by the answers she receives.
Gigi is officially Alicia’s new boss. Impressed by Gigi’s damage control tactics in the face of El Rey’s fiery disaster of a concert on last week’s Grand Hotel, Santiago promoted her to VP. We know this step-mother and daughter duo can hardly be in the same room together without verbal sparring. It’ll be interesting to see how Alicia fares beneath Gigi’s reign along with her evil step-sisters.
Per a quote from the episode trailer, Alicia and Gigi will get embattled in at least one war of words with Alicia telling Gigi she doesn’t understand what her mother ever saw in her former best friend.

Gigi’s rebuttal is to tell Alicia there is plenty about Beatriz she doesn’t understand. Mrs. P appears to be on the same page as Gigi, she doesn’t want Alicia asking questions about her mother.
The teaser for “Curveball” indicates we, the audience, will receive valuable intel on Beatriz with Eva Longoria making her debut in the matriarch’s role through flashbacks.
Will we find out what dastardly secret she’s been hiding? Will we get a clue about the mysterious circumstances surrounding her untimely death?
