Box Office: Spider-Man: Far From Home takes home another win
By Sandy C.
There was never any question Spider-Man: Far From Home would take a second win at the box office. Let’s see how all other movies did over the weekend!
Which movie did you catch in theaters this past weekend? Or did you make it a double feature? It’s summertime and there are plenty of movies to watch, especially this weekend. But it appears the majority of audiences had their hearts set on Spider-Man.
Far From Home gathered $45.3 million to its growing total, which is now a very cool $847 million worldwide. Just as quick as Spidey swings, Spider-Man: Far From Home is climbing to become one of the highest-grossing movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Fans are even already asking when the movie arrives in Digital, Blu-ray/DVD as well as where it will be streaming after it leaves theaters. It’s a bit too early for that, though, let’s just continue enjoying Spider-Man rule the box office for a few more weeks.
More from Box Office

- Dumb Money soundtrack: Which songs play in the comedy?
- Hunchback of Notre Dame live-action remake release updates and everything we know so far
- Barbie 2: Is a Barbie sequel happening?
At No. 2, you’ll find Toy Story 4 with $20.6 million domestically. This helps bring the movie’s total to $771 million. In the franchise, the latest movie is No. 2, as well, only behind Toy Story 3. At the speed it’s going, though, it’ll become the highest-grossing before it leaves theaters.
Finally, newcomers Crawl and Stuber are No. 4 and No. 5 on the top 10 countdown, respectively.
Crawl was able to gulp $12 million, for a worldwide total of $16.5 million, beating its reported budget of $13.5 million. The movie stars Kaya Scodelario and Barry Pepper.
Stuber follows in fifth about $4 million behind with a worldwide total of $11 million ($8 million of it domestically). The budget is not known for the movie, but should be relatively small. Low enough to have already made a profit as Crawl has, though? Probably not. The movie stars Dave Bautista and Kamail Nanjiani.
