Give me a D, give me an R, give me an A, give me an M, give me an A! What’s that spell? DRAMA! Lifetime is breaking out the cheerleader movies soon.

We’re already half-way through July which means only a month-and-a-half left of summer before it’s time for the back-to-school blues. Lifetime has the perfect cure for those!

The network has just announced its plans for a cheerleader-themed celebration. Five cheerleading-themed films will debut Sept. 2 and wrap up on Sept. 15. The block of spirited movies will take a look into the dark side of the ordinarily cheery sport in a segment called Cheer, Rally, Kill. It doesn’t get more subtle than that!

The first film in the line-up will star Denise Richards (The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills) and Savannah May (Knight Squad). The film follows the story of Ava (May), a new transfer student who tries out for the cheer squad at her mother’s insistence (Richards).

Ava makes the squad and becomes close pals with the school’s Queen Bee, Katrina (Allie DeBerry, A.N.T. Farm), only to realize there is a dark secret involved with being part of this team.

Becky (Cristine Prosperi, Degrassi) finally earns her chance to try out for the cheerleading team at her school. What initially seems like a match made in heaven turns deadly when Rob begins to isolate Becky away from all of her friends. Vivica A. Fox also stars.

The Cheerleader Escort (Sept. 14)

This cheer squad moonlights as escorts with wealthy alumni and college freshman Cassie (Alexandra Beaton, The Night Squad) is more than a little shocked when she finds this out. She inevitably gets involved way over her head with an older man named Terry (Damon Runyan, Gangland Undercover).

As if the escort business wasn’t salacious enough, one of the girls winds up impregnated and dead. Cassie takes it upon herself to find out what really happened and expose the darkness she’s stumbled into.

Undercover Cheerleader (Sept. 15)

As the title suggests, a young woman named Autumn (Kayla Wallace, The Good Doctor) goes undercover as a cheerleader.
