Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings: Where do you know actor Simu Liu from?

There was no shortage of surprises from Marvel at SDCC! One of the films we are most excited about is Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, set to star actor Simu Liu. Don’t know him? You need to!
Marvel completely took over San Diego Comic-Con, blowing the minds of fans by dropping news of the movies to come. From Natalie Portman soon becoming the first female Thor, to announced plans that Fantastic Four is happening. There is so much to look forward to! So, if you’re not familiar with Simu Liu, you have until February 2021 to learn all about him.
Needless to say, starring as Shang-Chi in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe chapter is Liu’s big break. But he does have a lot of action experience that includes a role as an extra on Pacific Rim, Blood and Water, NBC’s Taken, and Orphan Black.
Where fans recognize him the most, however, is from Kim’s Convenience, where he stars as Jung Kim. The Canadian sitcom premiered on CBC Television in October 2016 and was renewed for a fourth season on January 8, 2019.

Fans are hoping Liu brings some of his Kim’s Convenience charm into Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, but are prepared and so excited to see the actor shine in a very different light.
