Everything wrong with RHOBH Season 9
By Aedan Juvet
Viewers have been very vocal about their disdain for the ninth season of the RHOBH and after digesting an entire season fueled with hate, there are a few reasons that each complaint is valid.
This season of RHOBH played out in headlines before even airing, with reports of cast feuds, the departure of Lisa Vanderpump and more frustrating antics from Dorit Kemsley who has been plagued with Lindsay Lohan forced-accent syndrome. Now that the season is coming to a close, it seems like the perfect time to go over everything that made this season painful to watch.
The insensitive team-up against LVP

Say what you want about the business mogul Lisa Vanderpump, but there’s no doubt that without her we wouldn’t have seen RHOBH continue to thrive as much as it has for years. This year, LVP went through a string of unfortunate events that included the tragic loss of her brother, illness regarding her furry companion and the loss of several friends over an incident that feels all too contrived. I won’t rehash the entire scenario (we’ve had quite enough, wouldn’t you agree?) but the “setup” referred to by her cast-mates had no actual evidence that Lisa was behind anything.
When the subject was initially brought up at Vanderpump Dogs, she quickly tried to change gears and protect her former friend. The truth of the matter is that Dorit handled the situation poorly and if you know anything about LVP, it’s that she rightfully doesn’t tolerate animal neglect.
From going through with a lie detector test to swearing on her children’s lives, these women refuse to believe her truth and at that point, it became clear that this was all about status and nothing to do with genuine problems. But what else can you expect from a group of women struggling for notoriety in the presence of a Queen?
Camille Grammer isn’t a full-time housewife?!
When it became apparent that LVP wouldn’t return, many of us began to wonder if this group dubbed the #RHOBHMeanGirls was even worth watching anymore. That is until Camille Grammer made it her job to call the women out on their vile attitudes. Camille soon became the only one of them to have a different opinion, and after being called out time and time again over her compassion for Lisa, she decided to get more aggressive.
Comparing the loss of her home to Denise Richards “rental with soot” or bringing attention to the millions of dollars Dorit and PK owe wasn’t on the agenda of the other cast members, but that didn’t stop the legendary Camille. Despite the others being appalled by her publicizing Dorit’s debt, it was the most genuine thing about Dorit because after multiple seasons it had become clear to viewers that the life she lived on camera was vastly different than her reality.
If that isn’t enough to cement Camille as an RHOBH icon, her reunion appearance continued to factually combat the false narratives that every other cast member perpetuated. If you have a housewife that can take on several others at once, you give the woman a diamond and make it official!
Kyle Richards. That’s the heading, just Kyle Richards.
Now it would be easy to have given Teddi “Babydoll” Mellencamp a section, but in actuality, she’s only a less interesting extension of Kyle so they can be grouped together. This “friendship” seems to be rooted in picking on others in a group setting to tarnish their name or change public opinion about a cast-mate of their choosing.

Obviously, this hasn’t gone well for either as they are now the two most hated aside from Dorit, but their attempt to constantly bash LVP has become too tiresome to watch for another episode. Teddi has lied all season and refused to take accountability for her actions, so the only potential storyline for her at this point would be looking for a new profession.
Kyle has an expansive history of exploiting people for drama such as Kim, Kathy, and Lisa, so this pattern has become a bit stale for the viewers liking. Also, if your husband didn’t sign up for the series or can’t discuss his lawsuits, does this mean we won’t ever have to see anything about The Agency again? One can only hope.
RHOBH will air the final chapter of the reunion next Tuesday, but based on this season it’s probably going to be more rehashing and complaints about LVP.
