Weston Cage Coppola breaks out in a new movie about the battle of Pointe du Hock called D-Day. Here’s the info to know about the lead actor of the upcoming film.

D-Day, an Asylum movie acquired by Cinedigm, is a much-anticipated film about the battle of Pointe du Hock, which took place concurrently with Operation Overlord — what we’ve come to know as D-Day.

Weston Cage Coppola (son of Nicholas Cage) takes the leading role in this adrenaline-filled WW2 action thriller and does an outstanding job portraying one of the heroes of the battle that day, Lieutenant Colonel James Earl Rudder. And that’s not just coming from us — the film’s execs have made clear that they are ecstatic with their choice for lead man and had the following to say about his performance:

"“Weston Cage Coppola became James Earl Rudder. His performance was transformative and it was amazing to observe. He became a true leader, so charismatic that he could even call older actors “son” convincingly. From voice to posture to overall presence, he was a different man. It’s very rare that I get to work with an actor who takes a role to the next level. He gives more than what I asked for. He gave me what I wanted. Somehow he channeled the ghost of James Earl Rudder. It was amazing to watch him take the performance to the next level. It’s rare to see an actor become their subject, and Weston possesses this ability,” Nick Lyon, director of D-Day said."

"“The Asylum has delivered a dramatic, action-packed WWII movie anchored by a strong leading performance from Weston Cage Coppola,” Yolanda Macias, Cinedigm Executive Vice-President of Acquisitions."

"“I am a big fan of the work Weston Cage Coppola did in this film; the movie sits on his shoulders,” David Rimawi, Co-Founder of The Asylum.“Weston Cage Coppola has a breakout leading role in D-Day. Surrounded by a top-notch cast, he stands out and continues the family dynasty with his performance,” David Latt, Co-founder of The Asylum and producer of D-Day."

Their comments were completely warranted. The entire cast of D-Day, with Weston Cage Coppola at the helm, performed extremely well. Weston’s performance, in particular, was extremely impressive as the actor truly channeled his performance in a way few actors can.

He had a strong presence about him, a serious voice change, and a total personality makeover when portraying James Earl Rudder. The movie is a must-see and will certainly do well upon its September 13 release.

Upon asking Weston Cage Coppola for a statement about the D-Day film, he responded with the following:

"“I am deeply honored to have contributed to telling the story of this lesser-known battle as the bravery of those soldiers can’t be forgotten. Viewers can expect an authentic and relentless journey into one of the most difficult missions in war history.”"
