The Late Late Show with James Corden’s popular singing segment now makes you the roadtrip rockstar star with Carpool Karaoke, The Mic.
Even if you’ve never seen a full episode of The Late Late Show with James Corden on CBS, chances are you’ve seen some of the show’s most popular segments on YouTube and social media. From Crosswalk the Musical, to the Double Decker Star Bus Tour sing-a-longs, to his many music parody sketches, James Corden loves to bring music into his series, but the most popular of them all has to be Carpool Karaoke.
Past Carpool Karaoke participants have included Celine Dion, Paul McCartney, Michelle Obama, The Jonas Brothers, Migos and Stevie Wonder just to name a few — and now thanks to Carpool Karaoke, The Mic — it’s your turn to be the star of your own karaoke session.
We tried out the new Carpool Karaoke, The Mic product at San Diego Comic-Con, where fans were lined up to be able to sing their hearts out in The Interactive Zone at Petco Park.

There are a few different options to get The Mic device set-up and ready for some amazing carpool karaoke: you can either sync the FM transmitter on the Mic to match any available
station on your car radio, or you can connect the Mic to your speaker system with an auxiliary chord. Once you’ve connected The Mic to your speaker, you can use Bluetooth to pair the device with your phone and be ready to sing!
You’ll hear both the music and your singing voice coming through the speakers of your vehicle — and the kicker is that if a friend is driving close by, they can also turn to the radio station and hear your voice Carpool Karaoke singing through their own speakers. If you’re traveling with friends or family members in multiple cars, this is an amazing way to connect, play, and harmonize throughout the trip.
