Where can you stream Once Upon a Time in Hollywood?
By Sandy C.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is now playing in theaters. But when it leaves the big screen, where will fans be able to stream the movie?
Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is the director’s biggest opening of this career with a weekend of $40.3 million. Both critics and audiences are praising the movie and Tarantino for creating such a brilliant film, many commenting how this is his best work yet. We have already seen the movie, but had we not, we wouldn’t question these claims. Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio working together? That’s pure magic alone!
Even if you are waiting for the movie to arrive to a streaming service, you need to stop by your local theater to see Once Upon in Hollywood. It’s an entire experience you need to witness on the big screen!
Once you’ve seen it, you’ll likely want to watch it again. While nothing is official just yet, with the movie still new in theaters, we can take a look at previous releases from the studios. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing. And most movies managed by Sony Pictures Releasing (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Peter Rabbit, The Angry Birds Movie) find their way to Netflix after leaving theaters.
So, chances are, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will go to Netflix too. However, some movies from the same distributor go to Starz, instead. Gotta love complicated contracts! Which streaming service do you believe will claim streaming rights to Tarantino’s latest? Which one would you prefer?
It’s also common for Sony Pictures to release movies on DVD and Blu-ray two to three months after their premiere date, so we can expect this movie to get the disc treatment late fall 2019.
Will you be streaming Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, making the Blu-ray purchase, or both? Let us know in the comments!
